Mangalore trip
Two weeks back, I went to Mangalore for recruiting in NIT-K. Though, I been to Mangalore before (for recruiting), I couldn't get any chance to roam around and I thought Mangalore is very very small city(Actually, I thought it should be called a small town)!!!
But this time, I got some chance to move around and realized it is quiet a big city. All the interviews held at the college campus and the light house is just 10 mins walk from the campus.
After finishing the interview on day 2, we went to light house. It was really awesome. Breeze(!!!) was so strong. Waves were also really strong. We stayed there in the top of the lighthouse for 1 hour.
Since our flight to Bangalore was late in the morning, we got up early (around 7:30 AM...Yes, pretty much early for me now a days because I wake up only around 9 AM) and went to Ullal beach based on my recommendation. I previously heard from ppl that thats the only white sand beach in India and some crystal clear water. On going there, I realized everything is crap. Water is very muddy. It was also drizzling a bit. But waves were really strong. No one tried to stand in the water. Was disappointed. :(
Overall the trip was awesome one. :-)
